š¢Ā Theme: āChange the Narrativeā & #StartTheConversation
The global call to action for World Suicide Prevention Day 2024 is to āChange the Narrativeā and #StartTheConversation. The aim is to inspire individuals, communities, organisations, and governments to engage in open and honest discussions about suicide. By initiating these vital conversations, we can break down barriers, raise awareness, and create better cultures of understanding and support.
Suicide is a major public health challenge, with more than 700,000 deaths each year globally. Each suicide has far-reaching social, emotional, and economic consequences, and deeply affects individuals and communities worldwide. Together, we can inspire change and build better cultures of care and compassion. Remember, your voice can make a difference! Let's #StartTheConversationĀ and work towards a world where everyone feels supported.
